Sayona focuses on the exploration, extraction, and processing of lithium ore. You can learn more about this substance, which is an invaluable asset to sustainable development, on our Lithium page.

Lithium is used to make batteries that power cell phones, computers, and above all, electric vehicles, which help reduce the environmental impacts of transportation. Producing lithium right here in North America can contribute to sustainable development goals, by meeting the continent’s high demand while minimizing transportation to assembly lines.

Sayona has clear guidelines when it comes to its relationship with host communities: the aim is to work hand in hand, following the principles of sustainable development.

To that end, we set up monitoring committees to structure discussions with each of the stakeholders, which allows us to maintain good relations with host communities and First Nations. Feel free to take a look at the work of our Authier and North American Lithium monitoring committees.
