SAYONA ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF MANON BÉRUBÉ AS EXECUTIVE VICE-PRESIDENT AND GENERAL MANAGER OF THE EEYOU ISTCHEE JAMES BAY HUB

Montreal, April 4, 2023 – Quebec-based lithium producer Sayona is proud to announce the appointment of Manon Bérubé as Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Eeyou Istchee James Bay Hub. Ms. Bérubé has over 30 years of experience in project management, including planning, stakeholder management, design, construction, and start-up.

An accomplished manager, Manon Bérubé was until recently Vice President at GPH Inc., where she was responsible for the realization and management of several large-scale projects, notably in the chemical, metallurgical, and mining industries. She has also had the opportunity to work on the environmental aspects of many of these projects and recognizes the need for the mining sector to meet the highest environmental standards.

As Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Eeyou Istchee James Bay hub, Ms. Bérubé will be responsible for strategies, budgets, and financial results to ensure the objectives are achieved. She will also oversee the optimization, efficiency, and implementation of a strategy to develop the company’s mining activities and associated projects in addition to secondary processing projects, which will also be under her responsibility.

“The entire Sayona team is thrilled with Manon’s arrival in the strategic position of Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Eeyou Istchee James Bay hub. She not only has a remarkable background in managing large-scale industrial projects, but also has proven expertise in managing their operations. As Sayona’s activities are set to expand in our Eeyou Istchee James Bay hub over the coming months, we are confident that we have the best person to see the projects in this region through,” commented Guy Belleau, CEO of Sayona.

Sayona also owns 60% of the Moblan project and 100% of the Lac Albert project, both located in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay territory. The company is a subsidiary of Sayona Mining Limited, which is listed on the Australian Securities Exchange. With a market value of approximately C$2 billion, it was included in the S&P/ASX200, which consists of the 200 companies with the largest market capitalizations in Australia.
