The complex

The North American Lithium Complex is expanding. Thanks to a recent $60–70 million investment, Sayona optimized production and performed an environmental upgrade. In March 2023, the complex began producing spodumene to meet the growing demand for batteries in North America.

Located in La Corne, between Val-d’Or and Amos, this mining complex is part of an important lithium hub in the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region that also includes the Authier project. This cohesiveness increases the individual projects’ lifespans while reducing their environmental footprint and providing high-quality jobs.
